The Collegiate Housing and Infrastructure Act of 2003

Sigma Phi Epsilon has been working diligently to get legislation through the U.S. House of Representatives that would enable tax deductible donations to be used for construction and renovation of our chapter houses. We are happy to report that wording similar to that bill has been added to the larger Charitable Giving Act of 2003 (HR 7) which was overwhelmingly passed by the House last week. A special thank you to everyone who wrote letters to their Representatives.ÔøΩ

Now it is critical to build similar momentum for the SenateÔøΩs version of this bill (S. 1246). We are asking you to take a few minutes of your time and simply draft letters to your respective Senators in support of this bill. We are just one of 100 national fraternities and sororities that will be writing Senators in support of S. 1246.

More information...

The brothers and alumni board of Indiana Theta ask that you please write your state's Senators and ask for their support of this bill. It will have a major impact on the future of Sigma Phi Epsilon nationally, but must importantly, at Tri-State University.

Included on this webpage at SigEp.org is a form letter suitable for faxing or mailing to your Senators and spreadsheet that includes the names, addresses, and fax numbers of all Senators.

Please take just a few minutes and help the future of your fraternity, Sigma Phi Epsilon.

Scholarship Update

The Sigma Phi Epsilon Scholarship fund has risen again this month. The future total of the scholarship is now $32,560. November had a rash of donations, inculding several donations from alumni that have given to the Scholarship Fund multiple times. Several donations came from employee donation matching programs. Thanks to those who made their contribution count even more.
