I haven't been to Angola for nearly 10 years, and have not participated in the planning for the new house, so my 1st comment is to thank the committee and all of the people who have undoubtedly worked very hard to define a future for the house. As part of the membership who remodeled the current house over 30 years ago, there's no doubt that some action is required to "the old house" we're all found of, but is very dated and probably inefficient for the 21st century.

My biggest question is how does Sig Ep fit into the current Tri-State. 30+ years ago there was an outstanding integration between Sig Ep and the University. The President would call on us personally to help with campus events. From the Tri-State communications we alumni receive, it seems like Tri-State is doing well, including increased enrollment. However, there is little to no mention of fraternities. In fact, the housing being developed by the University is competition to off campus fraternities, including Sig Ep.

Bottom line is that Sig Ep and Lambda House will need a commitment from the University to co-exist before launching this needed project.

Again ... thank you to the committee and all of the brothers who have worked to bring this question to the membership.

Thanks for sending the Proxy card. I have gone onto the our web sight and do not see any info on the reasons why we need to build a new house, or the aprox. cost to to so. As a active when we rebuild the house in 1973 I remember the discussions about building new or updating our existing structures. We decided at that time we could not afford to do a tear down. My gut feeling is that we can not afford to do it today. Please respond with reasons to build a new home so I can make an informed decision on this question.
