406 Demolished

The 406 bit the dust last week, being the final house on Indiana Theta's property to meet the wrecking ball.
The house at 406 West Gale Street was originally purchased by Alpha Gamma Upsilon in 1967 to meet the demands of rapidly growing membership. That same year, Alpha Gamma Upsilon became a Sigma Phi Epsilon Colony eventually being chartered in 1968.
The 406 had a great part in the history of our fraternity and many of our members have great memories living in or hanging out at the 406.

New photos up on Flickr! Click here to view.
Update from Ken Schneider:
The cabinets are 99% installed, the trim is almost finished, all of the flooring has been installed and the bathrooms are almost completed.
They are finalizing the fire alarm systems, the lighting will be finished soon and the kitchen equipment will be delivered shortly. We are hoping to have the occupancy permit by Friday this week after which time the guys can begin to move-in!
We just mailed our fundraising brochure yesterday. So check the mail for it soon.
New Construction Photos

Ken Schneider took some more photos of the new house a few days ago and we have posted them to Flicker.
From Ken: As you can see they started drywalling the second floor. They will drywall the first floor later this week and the basement next week. They are almost finished with
the stucco on the back of the house and the stone should be completed on the
front of the house later this week.
The house is starting to look awesome! We're sure the brothers are anxious to get moved in.
