Scholarship Update
Brothers,
As the summer comes to a close and a new school year approaches, I want to update you and Thank You for your support of our "Sigma Phi Epsilon Memorial Scholarship Fund" at Tri-State University this past year. As of August 1st we have raised 49% of the required endowment scholarship amount and are set to award our first scholarship this fall in the amount of $250.00.
As we are half way toward our goal of a self sustaining scholarship, the annual Tri-State Phon-a-Thon will be underway once the new school year starts. When you receive a call from the University, I would encourage you to specify any pledges and donations to be made to the "Sigma Phi Epsilon Memorial Scholarship Fund". Please remember to identify the scholarship in any correspondence with TSU to ensure we receive credit for your donation.
Also keep in mind that the Lilly Foundation has agreed to match any donations made to TSU between now and December 31, 2003. A portion of the Lilly donation will be given to our memorial fund allowing us to reach the endowment requirements more quickly.
